I’ve got that freak that I’m thinking of rinsing plastic that’s going to be trash when I see nice and decorative lighting in December (do not use hot water unnecessarily). December is nice with the very nice decorations with lights both inside and out. There will be some extra power consumption, but I compensate for the rest of the year by using cold water when I blush dirty cupboards, wrapping plastic for food that is is meant for the trash and rinse empty milk cartons to be recycled.
There will be less power consumption in my daily life when I use cold water that way. But then it’s a paradox that at the end of the year I turn on for extra warmth and make lightshows.
I do not dare to think of how many dishes I have to rinse in cold water to compensate for an extra and unnecessary relaxing trip to my resort.
